Ah, the iconic Chanel jacket—classically lined, effortlessly chic—a staple in any fashionista’s closet and now also the focal point of a coffee table must, The Little Black Jacket. Chanel‘s creative director Karl Lagerfeld and editor Carine Roitfeld have joined forces and created a book (out later this year) featuring a bevy of fashion and entertainment industry elite modeling the piece in a variety of ways.

In this video we see the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Georgia May Jagger, Alice Dellal, Virginie Ledoyen, as well as Lagerfeld and Roitfeld themselves, discussing the versatility and importance of the Chanel jacket, its assumed elegance and timelessness. Roitfeld played the part of Coco Chanel herself for the shoot, draped in pearls with cigarette to boot, while Sarah Jessica Parker did what she does best and turned it into a showpiece hat. The short preview only shows a glimpse of the various celebrities who participated and the ways the jacket can be worn. We’re excited to see the rest when the book makes its anticipated debut.
