Make No!se With Shane Pomajambo

In the third installment of Gerald Watson’s Make No!se, a lifestyle multimedia series that highlights local creatives such as artists, musicians, and DJs, it focuses on Shane Pomajambo, the owner and founder of Art Whino, an art gallery which is unique in that it is one of a small handful in the DC area that exhibits street art, graffiti and pop-culture art.

The idea behind Make No!se is to investigate how people are ‘making noise’ in their respective crafts and industries, and this video interview features Pomajambo speaking about the steps he took in creating his own brand. He also talks about the rewarding nature of being involved in the art scene in DC; being born and raised in New York, he followed the breakdance and graffiti movements of the 1980s and eventually decided to research on how he could spread his passion to other people, and eventually bringing together pioneers and fresh new talent from all over the world.

The video also showcases a photoshoot for the Vans OTW collection.
