Secrets of Hollywood Leading Ladies

Some of Hollywood’s most well known actors let us in on their intimate feelings about the industry which has propelled them to fame in a new film from director Marcel Wepper. As part of stateside fashion bible Elle Magazine’s annual Women In Hollywood event, and in collaboration with the original simplicity label Calvin Klein, the 10-minute short is an intimate look into a side of Hollywood’s finest you rarely see.

America’s favorite girl-next-door Jennifer Aniston, wild child Evan Rachel Wood, Slumdog Millionaire beauty Freida Pinto, the iconic Barbra Streisand, indie’s new It Girl Elizabeth Olsen, new wave ‘Hitchcockian’ Naomi Watts and two-time Tony Award winner, Viola Davis discuss their beginnings in the whirlwind world of acting, their favourite directors who have passed, nostalgic quotes and generation defining films along with who they wished they could have portrayed.

Each actor’s trademark uniqueness shines in the documentary as their influences become clearly evident to the paths they are now on. Wood’s offbeat nature is captured by her love of Charlie Chaplin and Winona Ryder roles from Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice, Streisand’s classic sensibilities are highlighted by her fascination with Federico Fellini, Ingmar Bergman and Marilyn Monroe while Davis, Aniston, Olsen, Pinto and Watts each share their individual relationships with film to the oh so familiar camera.
