Covering all the bases on their whirlwind album publicity tour, Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone—better known as the Lonely Island—stopped by Amoeba Records in Berkeley to share the DVDs, CDs and records they hand-picked.

As part of Amoeba’s “What’s In My Bag?” series—which, last year, gave is this gem from Jason Schwartzman—the boys scoured the shelves from which they shopped throughout high school and came up with a combination of comedy, hip hop and ridiculousness—which is exactly what we’ve come to expect from them.

After Jorma sings the praises of ER season eight and a band whose name is too raw to print here, Akiva pulls out the hip hop gold with records by Nasty Nas, East Flatbush Project and A Tribe Called Quest. Rounding out the show-and-tell session, Andy presents the Cocoon soundtrack, comedy records by Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks, Weird Al and Monty Python, as well as a soundtrack that cements the strength of his and Jorma’s friendship.

Be sure to watch right to the end for what is possibly one of music’s greatest jokes, then head over to TheLonelyIsland.com to purchase their new record, ‘Turtleneck and Chain’.
