Fresh off the promotional trail for her heralded performance in We Need to Talk About Kevin, chameleon actress and face of iconic knitwear label Pringle of Scotland, Tilda Swinton interviews the label’s newly-appointed creative director, Alistair Carr, who has just completed his first pre-fall collection for the label and prepping for its catwalk debut in this video from Dazed Digital.

Carr explains to Swinton his inspiration for the SS/12 resort collection, which transports us back to the label’s archives via psychedelic 60s prints in sea greens and blues, pixelated to recreate the seats on the London underground and fused with tailored collars, slacks and of course, knitwear.  Swinton acts as not only a rambunctious interviewer but also the perfect spokesperson, as it is clear both she and Carr have a personal connection to the heritage label which, as a duo, they are bringing into modernity.

The video was created to celebrate the 195 year old brand’s inclusion to web shop‘s brand rooster, also signalling the launch of the SS/12 resort collection on the site ahead of Carr’s complete collection for AW/12.
